Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Melanie. I'm so glad you stopped by! It looks like you'll be traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort tomorrow. How very exciting! The
holiday season is surely the merriest and most magical time to visit the theme parks.
As a mom of three, I completely understand your concern.
Navigating your child's allergies is tricky and sometimes complicated. I haven't been to
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique since it reopened earlier this year, so I reached out to a Cast Member to see if we could get you some information on the current products being used in the salon. Unfortunately, we were not able to collect those details. I can tell you that
before it's temporary closure, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique used Original Sprout hair products, which are gluten-free. Additionally, Silk Elements Curly Cuties Leave-In Spray Detangler was used at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and it is also gluten-free. I haven't seen any information that would make me think that Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is now using different products, but I can't guarantee that they're using what they had previously. In my research, I was able to view a current makeup palette! There is a complete list of ingredients on the back, but no specific mention of the products being gluten-free.
I'm sorry I couldn't get you the exact information you were looking for. My best advice is to
head to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique prior to your appointment, preferably without your daughter in tow. The Fairy Godmother's Apprentice at the check-in counter will be able to show you the exact products used for appointments. If you find that they're not safe for your daughter, you can discuss a modified experience or cancel your appointment altogether. If your daughter isn't with you at that time and you find you need to cancel, it may minimize her disappointment!
As you're packing your bags today, I suggest packing some safe hair and makeup supplies for a DIY princess makeover, just in case you need to cancel your appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. While this experience was temporarily closed, my daughter and I had a little DIY princess makeover in our Disney hotel room. She selected a princess gown from
World of Disney at Disney Springs and then I did her hair and makeup in our room before heading to the theme parks. She received lots of royal wishes from Cast Members and Guests alike! She was just beaming from all the attention.
I hope this was helpful, Melanie. I'm wishing you and your family a magical stay at the Walt Disney World Resort!
