Hi Ann, welcome back to planDisney!
Disney’s Old Key West Resort is one of my favorite resorts thanks to its laid-back and relaxing vibe, proximity to
Disney Springs (it’s a boat ride away), and its sandcastle waterslide and pool area. Did you know there is a dry sauna at the base of the lighthouse next to main pool?
While each DVC Villa comes with either a kitchenette or a full kitchen, it’s nice to head to one of the many fantastic restaurants located at Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney Dining Plans are a great way to try different restaurants and makes it easier to stay within a budget since you know beforehand what you are spending on the plan. DVC Members staying onsite can add either the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan or the
Disney Dining Plan to their reservation by phoning DVC Member Services.
The Disney Quick-Service Dining plan allows each Guest 2 Quick Service Meals and 1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink per night of your stay. It also includes a Resort-Refillable Drink Mug. At the time, the Adult Quick-Service Dining Plan is $57.01 per day and for children ages 3-9, the cost is $23.83.
If you’re looking to enjoy Table Service dining, the Disney Dining Plan might be a better fit for you. Each Guest on this plan received 1 Quick-Service Meal, 1 Table Service Meal and one Snack/Nonalcoholic drink per night of your stay. This plan also includes a Resort-Refillable Drink Mug. At the time, the Adult Disney Dining Plan is $94.28 and for kids ages 3 to 9, the cost is $26.69.
I like to browse the restaurant menus either through the My Disney Experience app; looking at the food options makes me hungry but I like to dream! Don’t forget that there are some fantastic dining locations that are found outside of the theme parks and Disney Springs; my family loves dining at
Sanaa, located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, and
Topolino’s Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera located in Disney’s Riviera Resort (if you time a reservation correctly, you can catch EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular,
Luminous, from the rooftop viewing area).
I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning, Ann. If you have any other DVC or planning questions, please
let me know!
Welcome Home,
Candace
