Hey Melissa,
Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so glad that you're back with this great question. As a bonus mama to two amazing boys who have pretty severe food allergies, I can relate to your advance concerns about dining. The great thing about visiting Walt Disney World is that they are super accommodating to guests with food allergies. Cast members will always go above and beyond to work with you and ensure that your dining experience is a great one. Let's jump in and get you some answers.
My fellow panelist Christina gives some great advice regarding adding allergy information to an existing reservation
in a recent answer here. She provides a few options for adding the allergy information, and this is the most solid advice. However, I just want to express that you will still want to follow up when you arrive in person with both your host who will seat you as well as your server. These are the folks who will work extra hard to ensure that your needs are met during your dining experience, so communicating with them clearly about all of the present allergies is your best bet.
In addition to the chat you'll have with your host and server when you arrive (as well as that
advance calling or My Disney Experience updating if you are linked to the reservation), you may also want to review Disney's
Special Dietary Requests page. It provides a great deal of information up front to prepare you and help with what to expect when you arrive at the most magical (and often most delicious) place on Earth.
Melissa, I hope this information is helpful. If you have any additional planning questions, please don't hesitate to come on back and see us. We'll see ya real soon!
