I'm sorry to know that you've been having trouble modifying your
dining reservation. At this time the call centers are experiencing a higher than normal call volume, which is leading to longer wait times. Have you tried calling first thing in the morning when the call centers open? If not, I suggest giving that a try. The call center can be reached by calling 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time. I've found that calling right at 7:00 a.m. has led to shorter on-hold wait times.
Another idea I had for you is to chat with a Cast Member via the "Chat With Us" feature on the
MyDisneyExperience mobile app. Do you have that downloaded to your smartphone device? If not, I highly recommend it. It's very user-friendly and my preferred way to make plans for a Walt Disney World vacation. To chat with a Cast Member you'll open the app and log in if prompted. Then, you'll select the three horizontal lines icon on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. This will open up a menu and you'll need to scroll down until you see the option to "Chat With Us". Clicking that will launch the chat feature and you can type in what you need assistance with. Now, there is sometimes a wait with the chat feature as well. However, what I like about it is that you can click off and even exit the app. When someone is available to chat with you, you will receive a push notification so you can come back to the conversation. It's a great alternative to being on the phone for hours at a time.
