We have am upcoming dining reservation at 1900 Park Fare at 8:10AM. The park opens at 9AM that day, will the monorail start running at 8AM and is that our best alternative for transportation? We want to then take the monorail to Magic Kingdom after.

    Hi Brady,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question! 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is probably my favourite character dining experience at Walt Disney World Resort, so you’re in for a real treat when you dine there for breakfast during your upcoming vacation.

The Resort Monorail typically runs during park hours, so if Magic Kingdom Park opens at 9:00 a.m. the day of your visit, you should be able to use it in order to get to the park after your meal. Plus, it’s directly upstairs from your restaurant, which makes it a convenient option too. I think it’s your best choice at that time because, although I love using water transportation, the water launches stop at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort first before heading to Magic Kingdom Park, whereas the monorail should take you directly there.

Of course, sometimes the monorail is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or other issues, or may be operating with modified service or routes, so please check with a Cast Member when you’re finished your meal.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
