Hi Karen,
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is one of the best kept secrets on Walt Disney World Resort property, in my opinion. As one of the most reasonably priced deluxe hotels, it has a faithful following. The resort even has a number of fan groups spread across various social media outlets. There are thousands of people around the world that count it as their favorite Disney resort. I am one of them!
Given its popularity, and the fact that many of its guest rooms have recently been converted to Disney Vacation Club villas that are now counted among the
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, it doesn't surprise me that the resort is currently at capacity for the week after Thanksgiving. Don't be discouraged, though. I suggest that you make a reservation for another of the Disney resorts you'd like to explore. Then check back frequently to see if one of the rooms at Disney's Wilderness Lodge has become available. People change their travel plans all the time so you may get lucky with your reservation.
Another option is to reserve one of the villas at either
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Copper Creek Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. You don't have to be a Disney Vacation Club Member to stay there. Guests staying at either of these properties also experience the grandeur of Disney's Wilderness Lodge. In late November, the Lodge will be all dressed up for the holidays. You won't want to miss it. The Christmas tree in the lobby alone is worth the trip.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll be able to make a reservation at this magnificent resort.
Best wishes,
Jill
