Bonjour Lauren!
Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! I always get so excited when I see fellow Canadians in our queue, and returning to the Walt Disney World Resort for the first time since the pandemic is especially magical. I cannot wait for you to experience it all, and I am honoured to be a part of your planning process!
One of my favourite things about Disney theme park tickets is that
their value does not expire. Indeed, if your theme park tickets expire before they are ever used, you can use the value of these tickets as a credit when purchasing new tickets of equal or higher value. However, you cannot do this in your
My Disney Experience account alone. Indeed, only Disney Cast Members can access expired theme park tickets and turn them into credits. Therefore, once you are ready to buy your new tickets, make sure to
call the Help Center, and they will be able to help. I would suggest buying your tickets sooner than later, as once your new tickets are linked to your account, you will also have to
make theme park reservations for each day of your visit. Indeed, valid theme park admission now includes tickets and theme park reservations, and reservations have limited availability. While there are typically many reservations up until the weeks leading up to your trip, I would still recommend getting them booked as soon as possible.
Now, Lauren, did you realize you will be visiting during an especially spooky and delicious season?
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is finally returning to the Walt Disney World Resort, and you will not want to miss all the spooky fun. Halloween party tickets are sold separately from your regular admission, so make sure to get your tickets soon! I mean, what could be better than trick-or-treating around the Magic Kingdom? Also during your trip, you will be able to enjoy the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, which is perfect for foodies. Personally, I cannot wait to enjoy classics like the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake from Ireland, as well as new favourites such as the Mac and Eats booth. EPCOT festivals also make your trip unique thanks to the Eat to the Beat concert series and activities like the Remy's "Ratatouille" Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt. They are so much fun that I plan my vacations to make sure I can visit my favourite food booths!
I hope this was helpful, Lauren, and that you and your fellow happy haunts will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out. It is always my pleasure to help fellow Canadians!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
