Hi Yukio,
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney! Whether you’ve got a
1-Day Ticket or an Annual Pass, we’re here to help answer any question that comes up as you’re planning your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
You can add the Park Hopper Option to your 1-Day, 1 Park ticket at any time until the park closes on the date of your ticket. After the park closes, your ticket is considered fully used and is no longer valid.
If you think you might upgrade your ticket, you can complete this change at a Guest Relations location in Walt Disney World Resort or through your My Disney Experience account. If you are completing this process in your My Disney Experience account, visit the “My Plans” section and scroll down to find “My Plans, Reservations and Tickets.” Under the “Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker” section, click “Change Ticket” next to the ticket you would like to change. You will have the option to add Park Hopper and complete your checkout at that time. Theme Park ticket prices vary by date, so you’ll pay the difference in cost for the Park Hopper Option and 1 Park Per Day ticket for that date.
Keep in mind that Park Hopping begins at 2:00 PM. In my opinion, to maximize your Park Hopping option you will probably want to purchase Park Hopper before that 2:00 PM time. When you arrive to Walt Disney World Resort, I also recommend purchasing Disney Genie+ Service to help minimize wait times throughout your day. On the day of your park visit, go to the “Tip Board” section of your My Disney Experience mobile app and you’ll find the option to purchase Disney Genie+ for the day. You can purchase Disney Genie+ for one park, or for multiple parks if you decide to Park Hop.
I hope this was helpful, Yukio. As you continue to plan your vacation, check out the
Disney Parks Blog for future announcements that may bring even more excitement to your visit.
I’ll be here at planDisney to help answer any other questions you have!
