Ahoy there, Hope!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for sailing by with your question. How wonderful that you are thinking of bringing special fish extender gifts to share with your fellow cruisers. On our last
Disney Cruise, I was blown away by the kindness and generosity of fellow Guests leaving little bits of pixie dust in our hanging mailbox. It really made our trip extra special.
As a New Englander, I wholly appreciate what a treasure real maple syrup is, especially from your hometown. I looked at the list of allowed items, and it says nonperishable snack foods in original factory-sealed packaging are permitted. All items must either be consumed prior to returning to your home port or remain unopened. I don't see anything that would prohibit this, as there isn't a restriction on liquids (other than alcohol) like there is on an airplane.
Homemade, perishable and open food containers are prohibited. You can see the complete list of
prohibited items here.It is possible that when you put your bag through the security, it could be opened and examined, and there is always a chance that they can remove anything they deem a safety or a security risk. In that maple syrup is non-perishable, I wouldn't expect it to be confiscated, but it is always possible and up to the discretion of security.
I hope this helps you, Hope! If you have any further Disney Cruise Line questions, sail back here to see us and we will be so happy to help you.
Bon Voyage,
Keri
