Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sandra!
I think I’ve been in the same position as you. There you are, poised and ready to join a
Boarding Group for the
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction. Disneyland Park’s opening hour strikes. You open the
Disneyland app and tap the “Join Boarding Group” button. You are then confronted with a list of tickets linked to your Disneyland Resort account. Oh no! There’s a little delay as you work to deselect tickets of Guests that have not joined you that day. With the amazing popularity of this new attraction, that extra few seconds could result in a later Boarding Group number. Yes, I know the feeling!
So what’s the best solution? Why, it’s to invite those other Guests to join you the next time, of course!
Actually, there are a few things you can do to help out with this situation. When you first link a
theme park ticket or an
Annual Passport to your Disneyland Resort account, you may indicate if you are primarily responsible for the Passport. If you tap yes, that Passport is permanently linked to your account. Those Passports will not include a “Delete This Passport” button in the Disneyland app. To remove such Passports from your account before they expire, you may request a modification to your account by placing a call to
Website Support.
Tony’s Tip: Your Disneyland Resort theme park ticket or Annual Passport can be linked to more than one Disneyland Resort account at a time. Perhaps the easiest way to have only the Passports you are using for a particular visit to the Disneyland Resort show up in the Disneyland app is to use the account of another member of your party instead of your account. For example, my account is configured as the primary account for all of the Annual Passports in my family. So when my spouse and I visit without our children or when not all of our children are able to accompany us on a visit to the Disneyland Resort, it is easier for us to use my spouse’s account instead of mine. Then we link only the Passports that are being used that trip and other Passports from previous trips can be deleted from that account.
While we are on the subject of virtual queues, have you heard the news about attractions at the Disneyland Resort having
Disney FASTPASS service added? FASTPASS return times can now be selected for
Autopia and
Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! And soon, FASTPASS will be available for the first time in
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge when the service comes to
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. And if you have
Disney MaxPass added to your tickets, your Disneyland Resort FASTPASS value is expanded even more.
Have a magical time, Sandra!
