Welcome to planDisney Claudia, thank you for stopping by with your question! It sounds like you're in the midst of planning a magical visit, and I’m so glad to help you make the most of your time at
Walt Disney World Resort. Managing your party’s plans through the My Disney Experience app is a fantastic way to stay organized and connected and I’d love to walk you through how to link and manage your Family & Friends list to ensure everyone is ready for a seamless and pixie-dusted adventure!
To manage the
Family & Friends list in the My Disney Experience app, start by opening the app on your mobile device and tapping the menu icon. From there, go to "My Profile" and then select "Family & Friends List." You'll see everyone currently linked to your account. If you see family members like your sister, brother-in-law, and nephew listed but want to remove them, tap on their name and select the option to remove them from your list. Keep in mind, though, that you may not be able to remove someone if they are associated with any active plans or reservations. If that’s the case, reaching out to
Disney’s Guest Services can help resolve the issue.
For your husband, I would suggest that he create his own
My Disney Experience account if he hasn’t already. Once his account is created, you can add him to your Family & Friends list by going to your profile, tapping on Family & Friends, and selecting “Add a Guest.” You can then connect to him by scanning his linking code from his own device or by entering it manually. Once you’re linked, you can manage all of your plans from your account while sharing reservations, park tickets, and other plans with him and the rest of your group.
I find the easiest way to connect to the accounts of friends and family members is by using your Linking Code. To find your Linking Code, tap on the 3 horizontal lines on the bottom right of the My Disney Experience app. Scroll to the bottom of the screen then under Account, tap “Profile.” Next, tap “Show My Linking Code.” The app will then prompt you with a warning explaining what the linking code is. Once someone scans your Linking Code, you’ll be added to their Friends & Family list. Next tap “Show My Linking Code.” The app will then create a unique linking code. There’s a QR version as well as a manual code that your friends and family can type in.
Connecting your account to his on his own device ensures that everything syncs correctly. This will make it easier for you to manage plans while making sure he stays in the loop. Your nephew, and anyone else linked through Family & Friends, will also be able to view shared plans such as Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets and
Lightning Lane Passes. This way, everyone in your party stays coordinated, and you have full control over managing the trip from your own app.
Claudia, I hope this helps you feel more confident as you get everything set for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any more questions as your trip approaches, we’re always here to help. Wishing you and your family a trip filled with unforgettable moments and pure Disney magic!
