Has the Universe of Energy (including Ellen's Energy Adventure) been closed/discontinued. It is in the 2017 Birnbaum Guide but I have searched the WDW website for it and had no luck. The wonderful bldg appears on the EPCOT map, but no title comes up!

    Hi Gale ~

The Universe of Energy was home to "Ellen's Energy Adventure" and saw its final run and closed on August 13, 2017. It is always a little sad to see an attraction go but there are some super new things coming to Epcot that were announced at the D23 Expo 2017.

The Universe of Energy will be replaced with a Guardians of the Galaxy-inspired attraction. I am a big "Guardians of the Galaxy" fan and I can't wait to see what they do with this attraction. Over in the World Showcase, a Ratatouille-inspired attraction is coming to the France Pavilion. I'm sure Remy will be cooking up a fun adventure for everyone. Both of these attractions are scheduled to open in time for the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort in 2021. I can't believe it will be 50 years already!!

Another exciting D23 announcement is that a new space restaurant is coming that will offer an "out-of-this-world" dining experience. This will be located adjacent to RELAUNCHED! Mission: SPACE. The artist renderings of this restaurant look fantastic and I can't wait until it opens.

Be sure to keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest and greatest news on all of the amazing new attractions and experiences heading to the Walt Disney World Resort.
