It sounds like you have a
MagicBand+ that is not assigned to the right Guest. Typically, once a MagicBand+ is assigned to a
MyDisney account, it cannot be transferred to a different one. I have been told that a Cast Member may be able to assist in transferring a MagicBand+, but only if the band has not been used to access tickets or make purchases at a theme park. This is an exception to the policy, so it is not guaranteed. But it is worth calling
My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ and asking if they could help.
You can also try the
Help Center Chat function on the
Walt Disney World Resort website. Cast Members may ask you to log into a window where they can access your account and reassign the MagicBand+ to someone in your
Family & Friend List. You can also chat with them on the
My Disney Experience app. To do this, open the main menu (the "≡" at the bottom of the screen), scroll to "Help & Feedback," and select "Chat With Us." Again, this exception may be possible with an unused MagicBand+.
