Unfortunately, we will be missing the Star wars weekend by one week this year. My son is a BIG Star Wars fan...I was wondering if the star wars characters are often seen in the Hollywood Studio area, or are they only seen during Star Wars Weekends?

    Hi Delilah!

As I write this, two of my boys are having a light saber duel!  I know that one of them WILL get hurt, but that just makes it more realistic doesn't it?

Don't worry, plenty of great Star Wars action takes place every day at Hollywood Studios.  Throughout the day, a Jedi Training Academy is held near the Star Wars attraction and several lucky kids are chosen to "learn the ways of the force."  Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers often appear, as does Darth Maul.  To increase your son's chances of getting chosen, have him wear some Star Wars apparel or even better, make a sign!

Of course, it wouldn't be Walt Disney World without a great gift shop!  Tell him to be sure and save his allowance for a cool "build your own light-saber," or my personal favorite, "Darth Tater!"  May the force be with you!

    Much pixie dust,
