Hey there, Johana! Welcome to planDisney! How wonderfully exciting that your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is just around the corner—less than two weeks! It’s definitely time to start the countdown!
It's great that you’re thinking ahead about navigating the parks with your little ones and asking about bringing the specific item you're hoping to use for them. Planning ahead is always a golden rule for a magical trip!
Now, this particular question can be a little tricky, as the rules apply to a wide range of stroller-like devices. According to the
official park rules for the Disneyland Resort, trailer-like objects that are pushed, pulled, or towed by a person aren't permitted. The rules also state that any device needs to maintain its stability while in motion or stopped—safety and smooth sailing are key! And, if your item must be pulled from behind, it unfortunately wouldn't be allowed.
The word "trailer" in its name does give me pause. However, I know some of these multi-talented devices can undergo a magical transformation with a manufacturer’s conversion kit to function just like a standard stroller, without any towing bar. If your device converts fully into a stroller-like device that is pushed and meets all other
stroller requirements (like size), it might be given the green light. Ultimately, the wonderful Cast Members at the security checkpoint will have the final say, as they are the official guardians of park guidelines.
Here’s a little tip that might help: If you’re staying at one of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels or parking in one of the designated theme park
parking structures, you could bring your device to the security entrance for inspection before you head into the theme parks. That way, if it turns out not to be the right fit for this adventure, you can easily return it to your hotel room or vehicle without missing too much of the day's magic.
And Johana, if it turns out your item isn't the chosen chariot for this trip, please don't worry—Hakuna Matata! The Disneyland Resort offers fantastic
stroller rentals, including double strollers (subject to availability). You can find the rental location just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. These are, of course, perfectly approved for cruising through both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park!
Wishing you an absolutely incredible and memorable adventure, Johana! I truly hope this information helps you finalize your plans for navigating the parks with ease. No matter which option you go with for your little ones, may your visit be filled with comfort, joy, and unforgettable Disney magic!
