Hi Miriam!
I'm impressed you are hitting up the parks so soon after knee surgery! Perhaps a spoonful of
Walt Disney World will help the medicine go down.
Loose ice in a container such as a cooler or lunch box is not allowed into the theme parks, but ice well contained in baggies or an ice pack is perfectly acceptable. You could bring a frozen gel pack, a traditional ice pack, and bagged ice to refill it in a cooler. Cups of ice are also available at all
quick service locations.
Wheelchairs and
EVCs are available for rent at the theme parks. A wheelchair is about $12 a day, and it is a bit cheaper if you rent if for your length of stay. EVCs are around $50 a day with no length of stay deal available.
Walt Disney World only offers rentals at the parks and in
Disney Springs. If you need an EVC or wheelchair in your resort or to travel to and from the parks, try an outside vendor. ScooterBug is the preferred Disney provider, but you are welcome to choose any company. ScooterBug does have the ability to drop off your chair at your
Walt Disney World Resort without you or a family member being present. Other providers you can arrange to meet in person.
Wishing you a marvelous visit to see Mickey!
Elisabeth!
