We have an unexpected family member joining in with our meals and we are trying to update our reservations but nothing is coming up by phone and web. My question is what can we do to add them in can we call the place directly to make this small change?

Hi, Victoria! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms panel.

I had a similar situation for our visit this past May. I had made Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days in advance for our party of four. Several months later, we added one more to our traveling party. I tried online to make a new reservation for five and I also called. There is not a way to simply 'add one more', I could only search for new party of five reservations myself and also when I called the Cast Member I spoke to could only do the same thing. Of course, by this time many of the restaurants we had booked did not have any additional reservations available. We made new reservations for five at a couple dining locations where there was availability, however I didn't want to lose the other reservations we had. For those reservations, we explained our situation to the host upon checking in and we did not have a problem adding the additional person since it was only one more. I would not recommend trying this with more than one person as I do not think more Guests would be as easily accommodated.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Victoria!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
