We understood that we don't have to wait on line for four attractions - how does it work ? We bought a 'standard' one day ticket Thanks

Hiya David - welcome to planDisney!

I'm so glad you stopped by with your question about Theme Park tickets and how you will experience attractions during your visit. First, let me just tell you that you've picked an exciting time to visit - the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration is in full swing with exciting new experiences, attractions, treats, and so much more! You're going to have such a magical time.

With your standard one-day Theme Park ticket and accompanying Park Pass Reservation, you'll have admission to one of the four exciting Theme Parks at Walt Disney World Resort. Almost all attractions, as well as some character experiences, have a standard standby queue that can be used by all Guests. Estimated wait times are posted at queue entrances and can also be found in the My Disney Experience Mobile App. The brand new complimentary Disney Genie service can even suggest attractions for you based on your preferences, projected wait times, your location in the parks, and any other dining or experience plans you might have. It's a planDisney dream!

You also have the option of upgrading to the Disney Genie+ service for a small fee per day. This allows you to access Lightning Lane queues at many attractions, saving time throughout your day! Lightning Lane access to some of the newest and most popular attractions is not included with Genie+, but you can purchase Individual Lightning Lane access for these attractions, including Frozen Ever After at EPCOT, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and more. I used Genie+ for the first time last weekend at EPCOT, and I was impressed with the time it saved us. It's important to note that while we did have short waits in the Lightning Lane queues at some attractions, it was significantly shorter than the posted wait time for the standby queues!

You can purchase Genie+ when you purchase your tickets, or on the day you visit the park. If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can make your first Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation and up to two Individual Lightning Lane reservations starting at 7 a.m., so you'll want to purchase Genie+ prior to that. All other Guests can make their reservations when the park opens.

I hope this information helps you better understand your options as you continue planning your vacation. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
