My understanding is that usually you can book your vacation 499 days in advance. Right now, I can only make reservations through September 27, 2021. But, I am planning on vacationing in October 2021. Any idea when these dates will open up?

    Hi Jessica,

It's great to hear from you at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Like you, we're dreaming of our next Walt Disney World vacation and can't wait to make those plans.

You are correct that vacation reservations normally can be made 499 days in advance, but these are far from normal times. As select resorts begin phased reopening -- and the theme parks start to open their doors again -- reservations for later in 2021 aren't yet available.

You can find up-to-date information about modifications to the resort experience and other details on measures for health and wellness on the Disney website.

For years, I've relied on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest Walt Disney World news. I'll be keeping an eye out there for any announcements about special events and vacation packages for late 2021. While you're on the blog, make sure you check out the #DisneyMagicMoments series, a pixie-dusted way to let us virtually experience some of the best of the Disney parks until we can be there again in person.

Once booking for late 2021 opens, Jessica, please let us know if you have questions about our favorite resorts, top dining picks, must-do experiences and more. We're always eager to share our love of Walt Disney World.
