Am I understanding correctly that since the Magic Kingdom has extra magic hours each morning of our visit (the week of Christmas), there will be no rope dropping/gate opening celebration?

    Hi Matt!

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your fantastic question!

I'm so happy to tell you that you will not have to miss out on the fun and extra magic of Rope Drop celebrations during Christmas Week at Walt Disney World!

During morning Extra Magic Hours, the "Good Morning" festivities at Magic Kingdom simply occur an hour earlier than usual! All you'll need to do is set your alarm an hour earlier on the morning you'd like to enjoy the fun! Be sure to arrive at Magic Kingdom by 7:30am to allow time to proceed through the bag check and ticket turnstiles to secure your great viewing location! The show will begin promptly at about 7:50am on days when Magic Kingdom is opening at 8:00am.

If you've not enjoyed this wonderful, park opening show in the past, it's definitely worth setting your alarm for and makes for a fantastic video opportunity. You'll have the tune stuck in your head, putting a skip in your step for the rest of the day!

If you have additional questions about your upcoming vacation, please write me back and I'll be happy to assist you further.

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World Matt!
