Hi Kim!
Welcome to planDisney!
I am very excited to see that you are visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth in January! I am visiting in January too, and it cannot come around quickly enough!
We are experiencing an ever-evolving situation and the official guidelines are currently as follows: "Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming. You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you should be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing." In theory, while standing in line for a ride or attraction, you will be physically distanced and stationary at times, but you would have to wear your face covering every time you move forward in line. I suggest you ask the Disney Cast Member at the entrance to the attraction whether you can eat or drink while standing in line, just to be sure.
There are now Relaxation Stations located at all four theme parks, both inside and outside - you can locate them on the Guidemaps here for
Magic Kingdom,
EPCOT,
Disney's Hollywood Studios,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park - where it is permitted for you to remove your face masks to enjoy a snack and a drink in a comfortable, socially distanced environment.
We may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience. Please read this information about
Returning to a World of Magic, and keep watching the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official updates as they are announced.
Please come back and ask as many questions as you like! We are always happy to help you plan your vacation.
Sue
