I understand that wagons are not permitted within the parks but we are staying at the beach club and my son will struggle to walk to the parks so could we use a wagon and then fold it up and put it in a large locker or store it somewhere please?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Victoria!

I see that you are only a few sleeps away from your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I’m so excited for you!

As you know, according to Walt Disney World Resort’s Park Rules, wagons are not permitted in any of the theme parks. For security reasons, the lockers at each theme park are located inside the theme park and can only be accessed once you’ve passed through security and the admission tapstile. While it’s possible that security will allow you to fold the wagon and store it in a locker once inside, there is no guarantee, and it would not be magical to be turned away and have to head back to your resort with your wagon. Also, I think you would struggle to fold a wagon and fit it into the large locker, which is 15.5 x 13 x 17 inches. (A very limited number of jumbo lockers exist at only at Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot, and those are 17 x 22 x 26 inches.)

Victoria, my advice is to bring or rent a stroller for your son. Both my kiddos rode in strollers at Disney way after they had given strollers up in their day-to-day life, because it’s tons of walking – honestly, on many Disney days I would jump in a stroller if I fit! Your little one can still walk as much as he’d like, but having the stroller to pop into for a rest is really a lifesaver. Plus, you can store your belongings underneath and hook your popcorn bucket on the handle (can you tell I miss those days?!). If you bring your own stroller, note that it cannot be larger than 31" wide by 52" long.

If you won’t be bringing your own, I recommend renting from Disney’s featured provider, ScooterBug. They will deliver your rental stroller right to Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and you’ll be able to come and go throughout your vacation with your stroller. The rentals available inside the theme parks can’t be removed from each park, so they don’t help you with tired legs outside the parks. I hope your family has the best time together on your upcoming visit! If any more questions pop up as you count down the days, pack your bags, and dream big about the days to come, please come on back and see us.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
