    I understand that vacation packages are not available to book for January of 2024 yet, but when will resort only reservations open up? In the past I could make those 12 months in advance, but have been having difficulty trying to do so this year.

    Hi Megan,

    As a fellow "early planner", I love how you are planning a vacation for early next year.  In fact, I have plans for the next couple of years myself!

    In years past, Guests have been able to make a Disney Resort hotel room-only reservation further in advance of the time in which vacation packages and theme park tickets have been released.  However, this practice has changed and currently Disney Resort hotel reservations and Walt Disney World vacation packages will be released at the same time.  Historically, Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages have been released in the late spring/early summer and that is when I am looking for them to be released again.  I like to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest Walt Disney World Resort news and I am hoping we see an announcement in the next few months about being able to book our vacations for 2024.

    In the meantime, don't let that stop you from planning and dreaming!  Even though you don't have Disney Resort hotel reservations, you can still make plans and make a list for all the activities you want to do and attractions you want to see.  For instance, I am trying to decide which Enchanting Extra my husband and I are going to do next year.  One of my favorites that we have done has been the Wild Africa Trek and I am considering which activity in the Unique Tours category that we want to try next since that has always been such a big hit for us!
