I understand, when shopping, you can have your packages either delivered to the package pick-up at the park or the gift shop at your resort. I also read that the package pick-ups close 2 hrs. before the park closes. True? When do the gift shops close?

I used Package Pick-Up on June 19th in Epcot.

Stated on my receipt are the following guidelines:
"Packages will be ready for pick-up 3 hours after time of purchase at the Main Entrance (or International Gateway)"
"All packages purchased 3 hours prior to Park close will be available at your Resort after noon tomorrow."

Gift shops are usually open until at least a half hour or longer after park closing.

Therefore, if you make your purchase at 7 p.m. and the Magic Kingdom closes at 9 p.m., your only option is to have the items delivered to your resort the next day rather than picking up at Package Pick-Up. If you make the purchase at  6 p.m. for a 9 p.m. closing then you should be fine picking up your items at closing time.

    Happy shopping!
