Welcome to planDisney, Adam!
Thrilling news that you have a Walt Disney World vacation on the horizon. We are happy to help you DEVELOP all the answers you are craving. Gee, we better SNAP to it as you are less than a month away from your magical trip!
Almost as important as the memory making you will be doing on your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is the memory documenting! You are speaking my love language because having photos and videos to look back on helps me cherish our Walt Disney World vacations all the more. I wouldn’t take a pile of gold for those images, they are that valuable to me!
You are smart to verify in advance whether you can take your GoPro gimbal into the theme parks. So long as your stabilizer is non-extending, then you absolutely can bring it with you to capture all the magic during your fun. The one caveat: it must be small enough to fit inside a standard-sized backpack. Given the dimensions you provided, it sounds like your gimbal would meet these
Walt Disney World rules and you’re good to go!
I’ve used a similar stabilizer for my phone while we rode horses at
Tri-Circle D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. It made the video footage look as smooth as silk. However, my riding skills were quite a different story, so it’s a good thing we were more focused on filming the kids.
I can PICTURE it now: you will be the official videographer for your family as you capture all the core memories made during your vacation. Whether it is getting footage of the animals while riding
Kilimanjaro Safaris or the infamous "back side of water" on
Jungle Cruise, it’s sure to be a stable shot with your gimbal.
Adam, as your vacation comes more into FOCUS, set your sights on planDisney if you think of anything else. We are always CANDID about our thoughts and happy to get you a RESOLUTION on your question.
See ya real soon!
