Hi Susan!
Welcome to planDisney.
This is a good question!
While a guest is permitted to stop by and visit someone staying at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, unfortunately it is not permitted for visitors to use the pool at a Disney Resort hotel - they are only for the use of guests with a room reservation at that hotel. You may be required to show your Magic Band as proof of residency at the pool entry point.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is a wonderful resort to explore, with several restaurants to enjoy together if you so wish -
Narcoossee's is one of my favourites, with its beautiful water-front setting with views of Cinderella Castle by day, and - if you time it well - the fireworks by night. For character dining, the ever-popular
1900 Park Fare has recently re-opened, and you may get to meet Aladdin,
Cinderella, Mirabel or Princess Tiana (characters subject to change). You will need to make dining reservations in advance for each of these locations.
If you want a fun day together by the water, don't forget the Disney water parks! With something for everyone in your party - from the bravest, to the most sedentary.
Typhoon Lagoon is currently open, and you will find the largest wave pool in North America! Or take it at a slower pace around the lazy river - Castaway Creek, or grab a snack and a drink and relax on the beach. For younger guests Ketchakiddee Creek provides just as much fun as rides for the whole family on Miss Adventure Falls! One-day tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Window at the water parks - prices can be seen
here (subject to change).
Disney buses will take you to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon from your Disney Resort hotel - via transfer to another bus at Disney Springs.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can
send me a direct question if you wish. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World!
Sue
