Ahoy, Riahn! I am so glad to see you back at planDisney, this time with your sights set on adventure beyond the reef!
One of the best tips to save on a future
Disney Cruise Line vacation is making a
placeholder reservation, an exclusive offer available on board. As Captain Jack says, "Not all treasure is silver and gold." He might have had rum in mind, but another Disney Cruise and saving a few gold doubloons are precious to me.
As you know, you pay a deposit on a placeholder, which gives you a discount of 10% on a future cruise. According to the
Disney Cruise Line Placeholder Reservation Terms and Conditions, "Future sail date is subject to the following restrictions: the future cruise must embark within 24 months after the Placeholder Reservation is booked; blockout dates apply and sail dates subject to availability." It also states the future cruise must commence on or before the Travel By date listed on your Placeholder Reservation. In simple terms, it has to set sail by its expiration date; it does not have to return to port by then.
You can purchase a placeholder on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Just look for the "10% Off a Future Cruise" prompts. If you want to extend its eligibility window as long as possible, consider securing this on the last full day of your cruise. Savvy?
Back on land, you can find your Future Cruise Placeholder, including its expiration date, on the website under "
My Reservations."
Riahn, happiness is having a Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon! I hope you have a magical adventure at sea. If you have any other questions, please cruise back by
planDisney.
It's Always a Good Time for Some Vitamin SEA!
