I understand that each person in our party of four has to purchase their own genie plus however two of our four are 8 and 9 and do not own phones. How do they get lightning passes without a mobile device?

    Hi Tiffany, welcome to planDisney!

Holiday magic abounds at Walt Disney World Resort in December. The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays filled my heart with the spEARit of the holidays last year. I especially loved experiencing the Christmas story told by a celebrity narrator during the Candlelight Processional.

Disney Genie+ service is one of the ways to maximize the magic during your park days, giving Guests access to Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the four theme parks. You can purchase Disney Genie+ service anytime after midnight each park day via the Tip Board of your My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the homepage --> Tip Board --> Purchase for Today). I recommend purchasing by 6:45 a.m. so you can make book your first Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction at 7:00 a.m. You can purchase Disney Genie+ service and make Lightning Lane reservations on one device for all members of your party, including children, as long as you're connected as Family and Friends

In my family of four, my children's My Disney Experience account profiles are managed under my account, but they also appear on my husband's Family and Friends list. I'm typically in charge of purchasing Disney Genie+ service but my husband and I trade off making Genie+ Lighting Lane reservations throughout the day. Valid admission, a theme park reservation, and a method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) are currently required for theme park entry. The method of entry is what connects the Lightning Lane reservations housed in the My Disney Experience mobile app with the touchpoints at each Lightning Lane entrance. On our most recent trip, my daughter enjoyed wearing her MagicBand to tap in at attractions. My son preferred to use an admission card, which I kept in my backpack and gave to him before tapping in at Lightning Lanes. There's more than one way to tap into Disney magic!

I hope this is helpful information, Tiffany. As you think of other trip-planning questions, please think of planDisney. We're hEAR all yEAR!
