I understand there are new rules reguarding child swap. Could you please explain them. We will be arriving February 4 with a 3 yo and 1 yo!

    Greetings Mike!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

There is so much for small kids and preschoolers to enjoy! My experience traveling with my daughter is that most attractions were designed for the whole family to ride together, however, sometimes children don’t meet height requirements or simply do not want to ride. That is when Rider Switch service comes in handy!

Rider Switch allows adults taking turns watching kids or Guests who cannot ride. To use this service, please bring your entire party to the entrance of participating attractions and request a pass. The first group will enter the attraction using the standby entrance or the FastPass+ entrance (if they have a selection for that particular attraction). The second group (up to three Guests) will be issued a digital pass entitlement that will be linked to their MagicBands or ticket cards. They will be allowed to use the pass during a one-hour return window that starts after the current standby wait time minus 10 minutes. If at the time you request a pass the wait time is 30 minutes, the one-hour return window will start after 20 minutes the pass has been assigned.

I hope this helps you while planning, Mike! Please stop by real soon as you plan your upcoming Walt Disney World adventure.

    Best Disney Wishes,
