Hi there, Xin, and welcome to planDisney!
This is a fantastic question. Being able to plan ahead for all of the magical thrills at Walt Disney World Resort is very helpful when there's so much ground to cover in so little time. The new
Lightning Lane Multi Pass system is a total game changer when making sure that you check off your must-dos--and without waiting for as long as you would in the standard queues.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and/or Single Pass are day-by-day purchases for those who aren't staying at one of the participating hotels like the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. For example, for most of my visits, I don't stay on property. I live nearby the theme parks and I have a Walt Disney World annual pass. Even if I plan on visiting a few days in a row, I have to wait for three days before each theme park reservation.
However, if you have a plan change, when staying at an eligible hotel, you can indeed book all of your Lightning Lane Multi Pass options for your entire trip (for up to 14 days) once you hit 7 days before arrival. This means only one early wake-up call to be among the first to make selections. Woohoo!
Xin, I hope that you have the best trip ever! Even with you needing to book day-by-day, you'll still want to get used to early mornings.
Virtual Queue boarding groups first open up at 7 a.m. EST each day of your adventure and, trust me, you'll be up early anyways because you'll be excited to tap into the magic. Please
give us a holler here at planDisney if you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions.
Magic always,
LeAndra
