Welcome to planDisney, David! It looks like you are gearing up for a summer trip to The Happiest Place on Earth. That's so exciting!
I think the simplest way to group you and your wife's tickets in the app is to just add her ticket to your account. This is what my family does. I just link all of our tickets into my account in my
Disneyland app. My husband and kids do not have their own accounts they just log in to my account as well. I even added my friend's ticket who I go to the parks often with. Tickets can be on more than one account, so she of course also has her ticket on her own account. If your wife has her own account and wants to use it, she could also add your ticket to her account.
Having both of your tickets easily accessible on one account makes a few things easier, including purchasing and using
Disney Genie+. This means you don't both have to log on to the app and try to get a return time window for your Lightning Lane. If you are both in the same account, it makes it a lot easier to click both tickets and choose a Lightning Lane selection. I experienced this the last time I was in the parks with one of my fellow panelists where we were trying to get on a ride and Disney Genie+ was showing her a much sooner Lightning Lane availability than mine was. That being said, I have loved the Disney Genie+ service to compliment my day in the parks. I was able to park hop between the two parks for a one-day visit and ride everything I really wanted to. I was also able to stop at plenty of the PhotoPass locations to grab fun photos since Disney PhotoPass digital downloads are included in your Disney Genie+ purchase.
David, I want to thank you for bringing us this great question. Please feel free to visit us again if you have any other questions along the way. See ya real soon!
