    I understand that I can link character magic bands to my account, but where do I purchase them? How do I get the band number to activate them. Are they mailed to me?

    Hi Marianne, 

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question! 

    I own several Character MagicBands myself and they’re always the perfect accessory for any Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I’ve usually purchased them while I’m actually “on property”. There, the Cast Member who helps with the purchase is able to link them automagically to your My Disney Experience account. 

    That being said, you can also purchase them via Shop Disney. Just go into the “Travel & Vacation” section and you’ll be able to purchase them there. Once you receive your MagicBand, you’ll see that there is a series of numbers and letters on the back. Just go into your My Disney Experience account, click on the “MagicBands and Cards” section, enter that number and voilà! Everything will be linked to your account.
