I understand there is a limit on what I can charge to my magic band. What happens when I reach the limit? Do they just charge my credit card and reset the limit? Does this happen automatically or would I have to do something to ensure it happens?

Hi Donna! My husband and I come for several months each fall and we stay in the Fort Wilderness Resort in our motor coach. Since we are there for a lengthy time we often reach our limit.

Each Disney Resort will set a charge limit for its guests. The Deluxe resorts have the highest limit with the Value resorts having the lowest. When the guest reaches that limit they will charge the credit card on file. Unfortunately, sometimes you are out at a restaurant and when you go to use your Magic Band it gets rejected. Just ask them to please call the resort so they can reset the limit. This happens to us all the time and it is not a big deal but it is an inconvenience. If we have been keeping track of our expenditures and know we are close to the limit we stop by the front desk and ask them to charge the credit card and reset the limit.

So in theory it is done automatically but if you want you can certainly check in every few days and have them charge your card before you reach the limit.
