Hi Corey!
It is important to have your reservations made for restaurants at
Walt Disney World, especially for popular restaurants.
Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White is a new character experience, so it seems to book up pretty fast, however, we were able to get a same-day reservation in January and I have heard the same from quite a lot of friends and other guests. While it doesn't hurt to ask the host/hostess at the restaurant if there is any availability when you arrive, it is not guaranteed and I have seen more guests turned away than accepted.
I am no stranger to last minute trips since I live pretty close and I have been lucky with last minute reservations. My suggestion is for you to keep checking for an open reservation, every day if you can, especially the week leading up to your desired dining date and even doubling down on the day before with checking. There is a one day cancellation policy, so lots of guests are modifying their plans before that free cancellation period ends and you'll see that lots of popular restaurant reservations pop up the week before and especially the day before you want to dine. It takes a bit of patience, but it's so worth it. Like I mentioned above, we were able to snag a table the same day for dinner, so don't give up.
I really enjoyed our dining experience at Artist Point with this new character dining. Everything I ate was fantastic and presented so elegantly. The character interaction was great, especially if you have boys in your family so it's not all Princesses.
I'm crossing my fingers for you that you are able to get a table in the Enchanted Forest during your next Walt Disney World vacation. Just stay away from the poison apples!
Have a magical day!
Leslie
