Hiya, Julie! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you’re planning an early fall visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth. That’s so exciting! As an Annual Passholder, I’m no stranger to
Theme Park Reservations, and I’m happy to help answer your questions!
As you know, Good-to-Go Days are select days when Passholders may visit a Walt Disney World theme park without needing a Theme Park Reservation. This is subject to pass blockout dates and park capacity limitations. With that said, in my experience, Theme Park Reservations are readily available throughout the year. The exception is usually the busiest days of the year, such as major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve and Day, or significant events such as the opening of a new attraction. To answer your question, yes, you can absolutely go ahead and make Theme Park Reservations for the days you intend to visit. Should Good-to-Go Days be added on the days you are in the parks, you are correct in that you will not need them on those days. In short, there’s no need to worry about Theme Park Reservations on Good-to-Go Days.
As of this writing, every day between May 25 and September 30 has every park available to book on each day. In practice, this is what I’ve experienced every time I’ve needed to make Theme Park Reservations. I have also changed plans at the last minute and been able to modify reservations while on property during my visits. Based on the start date of your upcoming visit, as of this moment every park is available. This also does not overlap any major holidays or events. Walt Disney World Resort is constantly evolving and adding new offerings, so it is possible that a new offering could open in that time. I highly recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the Disney Parks social pages for updates and announcements on new offerings.
You’re visiting Walt Disney World at a great time, Julie! The
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be underway. There are always delicious eats and sips available at the Global Marketplaces throughout the park.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is also held on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park from August 7 through October 31. It’s a frightfully fun time!
If you have any other questions leading up to your visit, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at

See you real soon!
