Hi, I understand the disney parks do a show just before opening each morning, is this the case at all 4 disney theme parks? What does the show include and how long are they? Thanks, so excited.

    Hi Jenna,

What you are referring to is called "Rope Drop" and it is the name given to the time when each theme park opens for the day. While it has been known for there to be a small show or some sort of character greeting at Epcot, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom, it best known for the opening show at Magic Kingdom. It is definitely seeing at least once and a fun way to start off and get everyone excited for a magic filled-day.

Typically, the show will start about 15 minutes before park opening, but this time could vary or change without notice. The entertainment could range from 5-10 minutes. It is usually a musical number as well as an appearance from some very special Disney celebrities! Each show is different and the length of the show will differ depending on the park and sometimes the season!

I hope this can help you better plan your day!
