Hi, there!
Welcome back to planDisney, Emma. We just love helping you plan your Disney vacations! It looks like your next
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is about to begin. You must be counting down the days!
I'm so excited to see you have a split-stay booked. My family always books a split-stay for our Disney vacations! A split-stay allows us to experience the unique amenities and theming of different
Disney Resorts Collection hotels in a single vacation.
You are correct that Bell Services will no longer transfer food along with your luggage when you move from one Disney Resort hotel to the other. From my understanding, Bell Services will happily store your groceries for you until you are ready to collect them and transfer them to your next hotel yourself. Services are subject to change at any time, so I suggest stopping by Bell Services when you check in to make sure that they'll hold your groceries for you the day you check out. It's a good idea to have an insulated bag to place your perishable items in when you move to your second hotel.
You may want to consider packing resealable Ziploc bags. I always pack an entire box for our Disney vacations! These bags come in handy for all sorts of reasons, but I especially like to use them to pack ice in.
Loose ice isn't permitted in the theme parks and I don't want to keep track of reusable ice packs, so I pack a Ziploc bag of ice from the ice machine at our Disney Resort hotel each morning. I toss the bag in our soft-sided cooler and then our drinks and snacks are kept cool for our pixie-dusted adventures!
I hope this was helpful, Emma. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your upcoming stay!
