I understand you can make dining reservations 60 days in advance if staying at a Disney Resort. What time does the system open to start making reservations? Thank you.

Hi there, Lisa. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question for us.

I’m so happy to see you’ll be heading to the Happiest Place on Earth in October. The fall season is my favorite time of the year to visit Disneyland Resort. I like the cooler, crisp autumn air. But the Halloween and fall décor are simply irresistible! I’m also curious to see how Disneyland Resort will incorporate the 70th Anniversary Celebration with Halloween Time festivities.

Lisa, you’re absolutely correct in that dining reservations open 60 days in advance. Staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels will allow you to have preferred access to a limited number of dining reservations at select Disneyland Resort hotel table-service restaurants. Typically, these dining reservation bookings open at 6:00 AM (Disneyland local time). I have had luck snagging dining reservations as soon as the booking window opens.

If you’re not able to get the dining reservations you want in advance, I recommend checking periodically to see if more slots open up; other Guests may also cancel their reservations as their plans change. On the day of your visit, you can also try to join the walk-up list. There are usually limited same-day dining reservations as well.

I hope you’ll have a magical time during your upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, Lisa. If you have more questions, please don’t hesitate to stop by planDisney again.

    Sending you pixie dust,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
