I understand the difference between the dessert parties at MK, but I'm wondering which view is better -the terrace or the garden? There are 5 of us so the $ difference is significant. Also is alcohol served there/included? We're celebrating!!

Hi Alicia! Thank you for bringing this great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Fireworks Dessert Parties are such a great way to snag a super spot for the Happily Ever After Fireworks Show AND load-up on delicious sweets! You are correct, there are two versions of this Fireworks Dessert Party: Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace and Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. The actual dessert area is the same for both events, but about 15 minutes before showtime, Plaza Garden Viewing Guests are escorted to the “hub grass” area for the viewing. The main difference is that there is no actual tables or seating in this area, but if you can stand for 18 minutes (the length of the show), I would recommend the Plaza Garden Viewing. For one, it saves you a few dollars that you can spend on additional souvenirs or special events. Secondly, I find the view to actually be better as you are front and center in front of Cinderella Castle. If you have a member in your party with limited mobility, who cannot stand for a long period of time, then the Tomorrowland Terrace option is my suggestion.

Currently, there are no alcoholic beverages served at this Fireworks Dessert Party, but over at Epcot, the IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party includes sparkling wine and over at Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can also find delicious alcoholic and themed beverages.
