If I understand correctly you can use a Table service meal as a quick service meal. I thought someone told me you could also trade/use two quick service meals as one table service. Is that true or can you only trade down? Thank you. (Still a newbie!)

    Hi Angela!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am happy to see that you are considering using the Disney Dining Plan.  I use this every time I visit Walt Disney World Resort, and thoroughly enjoy the flexibility and value it offers across the whole resort, at the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and select restaurants at Disney Springs.  While you can sometimes (with the permission of each individual restaurant) exchange the use of Table Service credits for Quick-Service credits, you are never permitted to trade up - Quick-Service credits cannot be exchanged for Table-Service credits.  However, it is sometimes possible to convert one Quick-Service credit into 3 Snacks, but this is always at the discretion of the dining location or shop.  On previous visits,  I have been able to convert all my unused Dining credits into Snack credits at the gift shop of my Disney Resort hotel and have taken home bags of snacks and sweet treats!  Snack credits can also include fresh fruit, bottled drinks, including water, ice cream,  and a variety of bakery goods.  It's always worth asking.

Remember to mark your calendar with your dining reservation date - at 180 days in advance of your visit.  Dining reservations are highly recommended, and can be made online, or by using your My Disney Experience mobile app.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
