Hiya Jennifer!
Welcome to planDisney!
Disney's Beach Club Resort is my favorite resort on property and I'm so excited for your upcoming stay. I'm sorry that during your stay routine refurbishment is delaying your enjoyment of the fabulous Stormalong Bay. It's a huge wonder of a pool that will need a ton of time to be restored.
During this time of renovation, you can visit the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove Leisure Pools. The pool hours are listed currently to be from 7 am to 11 pm. Disney's Beach Club Resort is home to Tidal and Dunes Cove Pool and both have a maximum depth of 5 ft. The Admiral Pool is located next door to Disney's Yacht Club Resort and the depth can reach up to 5 ft as well. These are standard pools with no water features and steps to enter. There are no kid-only pool or water features set aside for use but these pools are still perfect for some good fun! I know that my kids find any pool to be magical and I'm sure with your presence your little one will agree. Don't forget that life vests are freely available at each pool and most likely during this period, Disney Cast Members will be poolside with activities and fun. Look for the Recreation Experience Guide posted in various locations including the lobby and pool area which will show all the fun activities your family can enjoy.
One of the special free activities my kids loved during our last trip was
toasting marshmallows over a campfire. The skewers, the marshmallows, and the memories were free! If you want to make a s'more they had kits for sale that had Mickey-head shaped graham crackers! My family was just fine with the marshmallows and enjoying this simple pleasure. Don't forget to enjoy a
Movie Under the Stars as well! That's another free activity! This usually occurs right after the campfire time.
Now, if you are upset about the lack of a dedicated kids pool there is time to see about booking at a different Resort. You will have to
call and speak with a Cast Member at Disney Resort Hotel Reservations. Your reservation may have to be canceled and rebooked but I do not see the pool at
Disney's BoardWalk Inn undergoing refurbishments at this time and may be a good place to move to. I do know that each pool is for the guests of that resort. If you wanted to access another Resort's pool while a guest of another you may find that you won't be able to enter as they tend to be locked and a key or MagicBand is needed to access it.
I hope this helps and you have a fabulous time!
Happy Planning!
