I understand that there is a cheerleading competition in May at ESPN. Do you usually put all the teams in one section of all the value resorts? I am staying in Pop Century during this time and have been told that it may be a bit of a concern.

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Leanne!

Spring is a really fun time for events at Walt Disney World Resort, especially at ESPN Wide World of Sports where talented teams from around the country and the world are coming to compete, and you're right that there are some elite cheerleading competitions happening this May. I certainly can't think of a more exciting place for them to show off all their hard work than at The Most Magical Place On Earth!

To answer your question straight away, large groups are not specifically made to stay at Value Resort Hotels, and I don't think you need to be worried if you find yourself staying at the same place as a cheerleading team or any other large group. In fact, if you've stayed at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel before, you may have been staying with a team or another large group and not even noticed! Care is often taken to group them together so the team is contained mostly in one area of the Resort Hotel, but that does vary sometimes based on availability. If it is still a concern for you, I would recommend noting on your reservation that you prefer to be in a quieter area, and accommodations will be made for you if it is possible.

I hope this answers your question, Leanne, and let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
