Hello there, Jennifer! Thanks for cruising to us with your question at planDisney.
It's time for your adventure to begin, and I'm sorry if my answer doesn't get to you before you are stepping aboard your Disney Cruise ship! You are correct in your understanding of the
alcohol policy for Disney Cruise Line. The beers do not have to be canned, and as long as they are sealed in their original packaging and do not exceed the twelve-ounce limit, they can be brought onboard. One important detail to note is that when it comes to bringing the approved alcohol on the ship, it must be taken with you in your carry-on luggage. It must be hand-carried by a guest that is 21 years of age or older.
If you are on board by now, you've realized how important the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is when it comes to your daily activity schedule, communicating with Crew Members at the Guest Services desk, and even communicating with shipmates on board. I hope it's been helpful along your journey. If you'd like to sail again soon with Captains Mickey and Minnie, you can use the app to book a placeholder cruise while you are still onboard. This placeholder can be used to book a future cruise (most itineraries qualify for a discount) within the next 24 months. So when you step off of the ship, it's not a "goodbye" but instead a "see ya real soon"!
I hope my panelist pals and I can see you real soon if you have any more questions. We'd be happy to help.
Have a wonderful voyage!
