Welcome, Anirudh, I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question. It's my pleasure to chat with you about the different Disney Resort Hotels! With so many choices, there is something for everyone, so let’s dive in!
When selecting a Disney Resort Hotel, I’ll prioritize and ask myself: Do we want... the most affordable, the best location for our favorite park, the most dining choices, a larger space for five or six people to room together, or our favorite aesthetic?
If your priority is budget, I have two great options for you. First is any of the three Disney's All-Star Resorts (
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, or Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort). These properties have bright, bold, colors with larger-than-life characters, bus transportation to all parks, and are the most budget-friendly. Second, but still in the value category and with access to the Disney Skyliner is
Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This is a great option to maximize quick transportation to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, but still prioritize staying within a budget.
If your priority is the location to a park,
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a quick walk to Magic Kingdom Park while Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort all offer a walking path to EPCOT.
If you love shopping and dining and find that spending time at
Disney Springs is high on your list,
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa offers a walking path to this venue. This resort in addition to Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort- Riverside offers a
water taxi to Disney Springs.
Anirudh, if you have a larger immediate family and would like a room that fits five or six guests,
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort offers Family Suites that have two bathrooms and a kitchenette area. We loved these rooms when my father-in-law traveled with us because we could all spread out an have extra space!
Finally, Anirudh, if you’re selecting a resort based on the décor, overall ambiance, or vibe, I encourage you to
browse through each resort’s webpage to get an idea of the theming. My husband loves the feel and warmth of Disney's Wilderness Lodge and would stay there each visit if he could! Another favorite of mine, with its Spanish-inspired feel is the
Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. My fellow panelist, Aena, calls
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa her "home away from home," while others would prefer the tropical island feel of Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. No matter which Disney Resort Hotel you choose, I know you'll have a pixie-dusted stay.
If you have any additional questions or want further recommendations based on your traveling party's interests, please don't hesitate to come on back to planDisney.
