I understand that Advanced Dining Reservations can be made "60 days before arrival date". Is the arrival date considered "day 0" (then counting back 60 days) or is it "day 1" when counting back 60 days?

Hey there, Sharon, and welcome to planDisney! This is a great question, and admittedly I didn’t know the answer. But now I do, thanks to you and my fellow planDisney panelist Michelle. Since you're here stumping us panelists, I may need to run a few questions by you!

Sharon, I confirmed that your arrival date is considered “day 0” when booking your Advanced Dining Reservations. So for your arrival date of May 29, 2022, your Advanced DIning Reservation booking window will open on March 30, 2022, at 5:45 a.m. EST. The most popular dining locations can fill up fast, so I suggest having a plan when your booking window opens. Also, if you are staying in a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel as part of your stay you can book your dining reservations for your entire trip when your window opens! If you can’t get your desired restaurants toward the beginning of your visit, I recommend trying to find an available time closer to the end of your Disney Vacation.

If you’re looking for recommendations, my favorite restaurant right now is Yak & Yeti in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Yak & Yeti has a great atmosphere and fabulous Asian-inspired dishes! It serves both lunch and dinner, and I recommend either one. If you decide to stay for dinner, make sure and catch Pandora - The World of Avatar after dark. Trekking through this land at night is truly beautiful! I also recommend considering Disney Springs for dining options! Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin' and The BOATHOUSE are two of my favorite Disney Springs options right now!

I hope this helps, Sharon! No matter which dining options you choose, don’t forget the snacks! Calories don’t count inside the “bubble."

    Until Next Time,
