Ahoy, Kristy! Starting the New Year aboard a
Disney Cruise Line ship and at
Castaway Cay? I love your
island style!
I am glad you came by planDisney as you plan for the all-important
travel documentation. As you know, passengers 18 and older only need to show their
Key to the World Card and driver's license to re-board the ship after a day on Disney's private island oasis. Younger Mouseketeers just need their Key to the World Card.
In my experience, Disney posts signs near the port door that explicitly state what you need to have with you to return to the ship. It's always a good idea to double-check as you are in line to scan your Key to the World Card to register your departure. If you don't see a sign, you can ask a Cast Member to verify you have what you need.
I travel with my passport, even on closed-loop cruises, and take pictures of it just in case. I know it may not be needed, but it comforts me to have all my citizenship documents stored safely in the stateroom and proof of them on my phone.
Like many members of the
Castaway Club, Castaway Cay is one of my favorite destinations. Even with so much to do on the island, I could spend the day in a hammock and feel like I had not missed a thing. You can do it all, or do nothing at all, and the day is perfect!
Kristy, if you have any other questions, please cruise back by
planDisney. We're all aboard to help!
SEAS the Adventure!
