It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Deborah!
While doing some planning for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, you may have come across the term "180 plus 10" or heard some talk about
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guests getting some extra time to book those
advanced dining reservations. While the booking window for restaurants opens up at 180 days in advance for all guests, Resort Hotel guests have the
benefit of being able to book dining for the length of their vacation, up to 10 days. Guests who are not staying on-site need to book each day as it becomes available, so 180 days in advance of their arrival they can book dining for their arrival date, on the next day they're able to book for the first full day of their vacation, and so on. That's where that 10-day benefit really comes into play because if you have a week-long vacation you can book dining all the way through the last day of that trip, which gives you access several days before reservations are open to the general public.
Now, here's the fun part, because there are some ways that you can really make that booking window advantage work in your favor when you're staying at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort next year. If there is a must-do dining experience for you that is also super popular with other guests, like
Cinderella's Royal Table or
Be Our Guest Restaurant at
Magic Kingdom Park, you may have more luck getting your choice of reservation closer to the end of your vacation because fewer guests have had access to book those days. This same trick also works really well when you're booking your
FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance of your arrival. Save the most popular attractions, like
Avatar Flight of Passage at
Disney's Animal Kingdom or
Slinky Dog Dash at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, for the last few days of your vacation so you have a larger selection of FastPass+ times to choose from!
I hope this answers your question, Deborah, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
