    From what I understand the actual filming of the televised xmas day parade in WDW takes place the weekend after Thanksgiving. Since Thanksgiving is late in the month do you think the filming will be 11/30 or 12/7. I would like to avoid main st that day.

    Hello Pamela!  While some guests love to be part of the action during the taping of the annual Christmas Parade at Walt Disney World, others like you wish to avoid it!  I don't blame you!  The dates for this years taping will be on Dec. 6 and 7, so those will be the days you want to visit one of the other theme parks, water parks, or maybe just a relaxing day at your resort or Downtown Disney.
