For underage children do they need a photo I’d? I am going with my daughter and 2 friends of hers.

Hi Nicole, and welcome to planDisney!

Let's see...today is Sunday and your Walt Disney World Resort vacation starts on Tuesday. You know what that means. Only TWO sleeps 'til Disney!

I imagine you're not the only one counting down the days, Nicole. Your daughter and her friends must be so excited to step into "the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy." Let's get you ready for the magic!

Assuming you already bought your tickets and made Disney Park Pass reservations, you may need to show a photo ID and the credit card used to buy the tickets if you elected to pick them up at will call. In that case, you'd be the only one who would need ID. If you had the tickets mailed to you or you plan to use MagicBands, there are no extra steps at all. Just head to the touchpoints at the entrance to the parks, tap in, and go! Either way, minors aren't required to show ID, so your young traveling companions won't need to have identification to enter the theme parks.

Nicole, when it comes to planning a Walt Disney World trip for the tween and teen set, Disney has a handy guide for traveling with older kids that can help you out with ideas for a practically perfect itinerary. Whether they're looking forward to flying through space, or they're more interested in shopping until they drop, you'll find lots of fun ways to make your trip a blast!

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question, Nicole. I hope you have an amazing vacation! Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
