Hey there, Susan! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so thrilled that you've stopped by with another great vacation planning question. Chatting with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member always just makes my day!
Isn't it so much fun planning and booking a
Disney Vacation Club vacation?! To me, there is nothing better than having my next magical getaway on the horizon with just the click of a button. Being able to easily book fabulous accommodations at the
Disney Vacation Club Resorts and all over the world is just one reason that our Memberships are so magical. Always having a little piece of the Disney magic in my pocket brings such joy to my life. At any given time, I have multiple Disney vacations booked and multiple waitlists activated, so I'm more than happy to help you with this question today.
If you have two consecutive unavailable days during your vacation dates, I suggest booking the available days and waitlisting both unavailable days under the same waitlist. That way, if your waitlist comes through, your vacation booking is complete and you can sit back, relax and enjoy the excitement of anticipating your upcoming adventure. When I find myself in this situation when traveling to Walt Disney World Resort, I also embrace the idea of a split stay and book any available Resorts on the dates that are unavailable at my first-choice Resort. Another option is to book a cash reservation for the same room type for the unavailable nights, to have a backup plan. If you do book a cash reservation, since you can have two active waitlists at any given time, I would first waitlist both days together and use the second waitlist on your first unavailable night. That way, you increase your chances of spending more nights on Vacation Points and can use the extra cash on a fantastic dining experience!
Susan, I will be wishing upon a star that your waitlist comes through and you have the most magical upcoming vacation on your most magical Membership! All you need is faith, trust and a little pixie dust!
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
